How to Watch the Royal Wedding

2018-05-18 08:11 #0 by: Evelina

"So which is the best way to watch? It depends on what you’re looking for. Here’s where to tune in, depending on your taste:

If you want the British experience …

In the United States, BBC America will simulcast BBC One’s coverage from Britain, beginning at 4 a.m. (All times are Eastern.) This will be the wedding as many of the viewers in Britain will see it, with firsthand perspectives on the ceremony and the ways in which it reflects both ancient and modern aspects of British history and society. For even more context, the channel is airing a full slate of specials all week, documenting past royal marriages and coronations.

If you want to pretend you’re in the wedding party …

The ABC News iOS app just introduced an “augmented reality” feature, which allows users to take pictures of themselves next to the royal carriage and the Queen’s Guard. (Tip: If you plan to use this to fool your friends into thinking you were invited to the big shindig, you might want to change out of your pajamas and into something a little more formal.)"

Everything you see here in the UK is about this royal wedding!! I heard American broadcasters have been here since two weeks before, seems very dramatic!

#1 What's up with all the funny hats, is that a British thing? Laughing out loud

#2 It’s an old tradition! Wearing hats is considered very lady-like, for high society events like horse racing and weddings it’s very popular! It was actually mandatory that the female guests wore hats, it was on the invitation! 🎩👒
