An elk (a moose) has been seen in Denmark. According to the newspaper, that wrote about it and showed a picture, it is 18 years since it happend last time.
Here are my elks, a Swedish and a Danish.

Are they not originally from Denmark? Or just hard to spot?
All the best, Leia

They are typically in the northern countries. When there is an elk in Denmark it has swimmed over from Sweden and last time it happened was 18 years ago.
Last time you could drive over from Skåne to Jylland with horse and waggon was 1888, even if it was possible to walk later, but not more. Nowadays icebreaker makes Öresund travelpossible (possible to sail trough) even in the hardest winter.
