I read an interview with an expert saying that the jewels won't make the thieves rich. They are too well-known to be sellable and the parts it is made of aren't worth much by themselves.
#1 That is a relief, its sad that someone would steal a piece of history like that.
I hope that the thieves somehow turn them over to the police!
Such a bizarre situation, it's almost as if it's out a movie!

We have had some spectacular burglaries like that in Sweden. Some years ago burglars used a stolen helicopter to rob a money transfer depot at gunpoint. I don't think the money (4
EUR million or so) were recovered.
