The Swedish Crown Jewels were stolen! The thieves got away in a motor boat. The Jewels were priceless artifacts.

I read an interview with an expert saying that the jewels won't make the thieves rich. They are too well-known to be sellable and the parts it is made of aren't worth much by themselves.

We have had some spectacular burglaries like that in Sweden. Some years ago burglars used a stolen helicopter to rob a money transfer depot at gunpoint. I don't think the money (4 EUR million or so) were recovered.
